2ndamendment1… i am right with you! bush had a huge hand in destroying this nation in so many ways and he apologizes about a week ago about the financial state of our nation on his watch? what a hypocrite lying asshole, he put us here with a lie of a war and 10 million a month going to that war. and to dellsprospects22, wanted to add: at least when clinton signed nafta we were very economically stable. why would bush sign nafta when we are looking at great depression times. he deserves prison!

By 2ndAmendment1

I hope those that voted for bush are in the PINK slip line. Bush could give a shit for you ‘blue collar workers’ He is for the RICH by the RICH and can GO TO HELL WITH the RICH… WE know they are heading that way!

By rondaddy08

ted Turner is an old filthy rich piece of shit drunk who has it out for working people just like most of his ilk. he wants the U.S. to be a playground for rich people. One big fucking golf course and vacation spot for the super rich. In turn people like him want a small middle class and a huge lower class to make money for them. I know this sounds like some kind of class-warfare rant…well it is!!!

By dellsprospects22

i don’t think it’s a partisan argument, that is exhausted, it’s more about whose got the biggest lobby anymore

NAFTA was Pres George H. W. Bush’s deal. A final agreement on the plan between the U.S., Canada & Mexico was reached in August 1992 & signed by Bush in October 1992. Clinton had no choice but “make good” on Bush’s promise, but tired to lessen the negative impacts on our environment & workforce w/ the addition of NAAEC and NAALC. NAFTA was ratified by Congress on the last day of its 1993 session. If you look at the voting record, you’ll see that it was the Republicans who made it happen.

Why is Gm and ford spending billions in Brazil
and Russia on new plants.
if they have that kind of money why do they need a bailout.
is it true they want to make cars cheaply in Brazil and send them to US and sell them for a much higher price?
Americans are broke they can not buy cars
so what will a bailout do nothing except help Ford and Gm move the rest of their junk offshore .Thats the real grand scheme of things. no jobs will be saved by Detroit auto
they want them to fail.

ok later. not sure what hb1 visa is? the whole dang thing makes me cranky. i am open to debate.

By dellsprospects22

or we could talk about hb1 visa, but i’m getting crankier maybe later

By dellsprospects22

you’re talking about the 2005 security and prosperity partnership (not the north american union by god) trans texas corridor deal to bring slave labor communist chinese goods through the panama canal without going through us tariff ports..or the most recent andean trade?

By KILLAMANJARO3

ok dellsprospects22 i am open to what u have stated, still think clinton was one of our better presidents. some shoddy stuff comes from china, agree. but wonderful bush has gone and signed a nafta agreement with 3 other countries about 3 weeks prior to the election of obama. could he stop doing stupid shit for just once? just what america needs, more of our jobs going overseas, at a time of economic meltdown. hope bush/company get imprisoned 4 war crimes, 2 bad they cant get them on all crimes.

By dellsprospects22

it wasn’t just him, you can thank clinton and nafta for exporting raw materials and manufacturing jobs (and me wasting half a day trying to fix a bunch of made in china shotty furniture set-trust me i wouldn’t buy it someone gave it to me)that’s filling up our landfills!

By KILLAMANJARO3

and we wonder why there are still bush lovers out there thinking he was such a great president!

This nation that supports the Japanese so heartily will wind up with no auto manufacturing companies in the US and will wind up sending the majority of our car money to other countries just like we send our oil money elsewhere. Don’t give me that “these cars are made here” bullcorn. The majority of the money is going to another nation. We are going to deplete our nation of its wealth in the long run, and we are also going to incapacitate our industrial capabilities. GREAT JOB AMERICANS!!!

Where is the domestic Prius? US auto makers where given money already to produce energy efficient cars. Instead they built more of the same. Also no US car should cost more than an Import in any category. I say no on bail out and yes in giving the money to companies like Tesla Motors. Who can offer new technology and no more dependence on foreign oil. Let’s keep our money home. The terrorist have collected enough from us.

By emforty2

be nice and give GM the bailout money on one condition

money can only be used to build and restore the ELECTRIC TROLLEY they destroyed and crushed back in the early 50s

ha ha ha

By mont3818

Regulation!

Tell em’ “okay but you have to help us convert to alternative fuel. We’ll give you this money to make solar powered and electric powered affordable within at least five years. You must pass what we did for you on to your customers.”

Show em’ we have the right and ability to pull our money from right underneath them if they don’t steer the course and we don’t see the progress.

By PhotonDrive

Hey, this guy could be the next energy chief – if Carl Schmidt doesn’t have time. Maybe work togther? Hi Ted, I’m one of the inventors of the cheap FUEL-LESS TRANSPORT – ignored by Detroit the past 10 years. Gave all my stuff to China for world good. THEY LISTENED, Japanese listened MORE. Ted: everything is solid-state now, all is simple. No Fuel-Motors, just magnetic generation (from small solar roof arrays), feeding mag-drives (one or on ea. wheel). So FUCK Detroit & military-oil machine,O.K.?

By Urantianow

GM, you sabotaged the EV-1 electric car by torpedoing demand & selling to Big Oil control of the advanced battery that should have debuted with it. You conspired with Big Oil and Bush to quash the CA clean-air mandate for a quota of electric cars per auto maker. You ripped the EV-1’s from their lessees and GROUND them into oblivion. Now you ask, “What will WE do?” and “Collapse is imminent if we do nothing.”? You sealed your fate when you conspired against us and KILLED the EV-1 electric car!

By pewpewmigoo

thank god for Ted

By SevenSins005

im happy to hear that Ted Turner has enough common sense to realize that the 3 major auto makers are continuing to build inefficent cars and trucks that nobody wants to buy. Just let them fail so that someone else can pick up the trash and fix it without using tax payer money

By scottay68

Turner just made Lou Dobbs his little Bitch
