Seems like you have done your homework, my child. Now tell me, wise man, how many resolutions did Israel break since it’s creation? And remind me of any sanction against Israel because I can’t remember any ?

Saddam Hussein

By dancefever9407

what is it he says in the beginning?
I can never catch it.

[When he gets that god is??] stronger than the strongest on earth and that the worlds most important power on earth having said what I have said is the human power. That is the humanity of man inside and not the exterior strength or power that he has[for example] his muscles or his weapons.

But he still did many wrongs and was sentenced to death which, as you think about it, was no where near as close as to what he deserved.

By Kazreilos

How could you say that was fair?

No matter how many you kill or serve
a man shouldn’t die a horrible death as such.
Saddam had believed in what he had and in the end his own people treated him like the shit you are treating a dead man. If you think this was the way he should have gone just think about what Bush has done…..
Economic recession….. Needless to say many other political wrongs and injustices. He went to war with countries just to see if we could win. That’s it. Just think.

…and over 12 references to his breaking of the UN Resolutions and Sanctions. Saddam was told over and over again, that continued disregard for these rules would bring him down….it did.

You can’t defy international law for years on end, and not expect to be held accountable, he was warned many times.

And for the record, I am well informed on this issue, and I also have two combat tours in Iraq of my own, so please don’t call me naieve. It looks to me like you should study up.

By summerwav11

You’re calling me naive? Saddam was told that if he continued to break United Nations Resolutions, and Treaties with the United States, swift military action would be taken against him.

Saddam violated the 1991 Gulf War Truce, and all the arms control agreements it contained, including UN resolution 687 and 689, and the 15 subsequent UN resolutions designed to enforce them. In fact, the Authorization for use of Force Bill contains only 2 references to WMD’s,

The US was invading with or without the UN. Going to the UN was to try and get international support and to make the invasion look legitimate to Americans and the world. Even Hanz Blix stated they had no chemical weapons. Had any of this would had been true the UN would have past a war resolution and international support would have been there. Exactly what happened during the first gulf war. CNN has repeated every excuse out there at least 30 times. No offense, but try not to be so naive.
