You’re right, but there’s no such thing as ‘original’ English, it has always been different in different regions, even in the Anglo-Saxon period.
I would conquer the world for her. There would be no survivors. Letterman is funny, but he is obviously over matched in this particular interview.

Actually (speaking stictly from many linguistics classes) British people DO have accents because English (even British-which I really think is BEAUTIFUL, don’t get me wrong!) has changed so much over the centuries. No one truly speaks origional English anymore, it would be almost completely unable to be understood. So we all have accents :/
Everyone has an accent, an accent is the way your pronounce things. It just depends on where you’re from. English people have accents, Americans have accents, they’re just different.
I’m American and that comment has me laughing my @ss off!!! I guess because it’s more or less true. Funny stuff!
Yeah, its nice to learn a second language. I am brit but I am learning new languages through online classes.
