Hey alexsep.. the plan is to give people liberty and freedom and lessen the size and scope of government in our daily life… I am glad to just say NO! to socialism. I would vote for a president who would run on a platform of doing nothing and letting the individual own his own life.. but I guess people like you would rather someone get up there and say how they are going to do all these great things for the “little person when they are really destroying the little person.

His foreign policy also caused the fall of the Soviet Union. Go ask the ex block countries what they think of Reagan. The concepts of liberalism and socialism are the personification or irrationality. They completely ignore the basic traits of human nature to always take the path of least resistance. Because of this they stifle innovation and encourage social regression.

I also happen to think that welfare exists because politicians want people to be dependent on them, they create a mindset that the govt is here to help. When all they really want is votes. Each person is responsible for their own destiny, like the speech Obama gave at the naacp. Best thing he has ever said. In my opinion, people need to reset their values as families and become active in their advancement, all the tools are there for every american.
There needs to be a new thought process by Americans. Issue based thought on who you want to vote for, not what the party throws out there. Both parties end up serving corporate interest more then citizens. There are ways of helping people that do not require mandates, higher taxes, and helping big business. People need to understand that the smaller govt and less taxes you pay, the more freedom you actually have. I think socially our country has come a long way in terms of minority advancement.
I agree with soulsearcher on the reason why welfare exists. I myself could not imagine the situation of it. I am not against social programs 100%, i oppose the way they are implemented. It seems a lot of these politicians pass horrible bills without putting peoples needs first, like this healthcare bill. In terms of welfare, if they wanted minorities to get out of poverty,they would prorate welfare benefits according to income.That way people HAVE a chance to advance, not cut off when they try.
Shes not too stupid that she couldn’t be good at another aspect of her life, like at another occupation, but as president shed be worse then Bush.
@Zoklor-glad to see you know a little something about welfare. But…let’s take a deeper look. why do you think minorities need welfare for in the first place? Trickle down economics that never trickled down? Unfair employment n housing treatment where laws had to be made in order for minorities to even get out of the ‘hood…even when they feed the hungry n give a place to sleep they make it hard to get ahead-refer to your post on that. I could go on but I only have a few characters to post
