I agree completely! All the car companies are making cheap pieces of shit, and glorifying the gas mileage as a selling point. I work on almost all vehicle types every day and they are just fucking chinsy!

This is what Criminal Paulson has done so far, they haven’t done ANYTHING they promised to Congress, there is Absoutely NO OVERSIGHT of this money in the Treasury Department. All of the money has been spent on AIG and have been taken by other Wall-Street Giants (who are profitting). The money is being spent on giving more pay to CEO’s, Mergers of Corporations, giving more bonuses and vacations to top executives, also Lobbyists (Vultures) have taken Billions.

The auto industry needs to get with the times. Either GM and Ford can start making quality products, or they deserve to get shoved out of the market. We shouldn’t be bailing them out just because they exist. The fact that they’re having a rough time should show that they need to take new steps in innovation.

Not true. As you say, you’re not familiar with the term ‘basic science’. As a nation, we don’t talk about it, or invest money in it, nearly enough.
Corporations take known science and develop applications of that technology and sell them, for an easy profit.
But where does the known science come from in the first place?
It comes from a wealthy investor who invested in pure research that had no known application. Thomas Edison was wealthy. He could afford that kind of thing.
Shoot, if housing prices came down I could get a good deal on one and actually afford it. Sorry for people that bought a house at a high price, but that’s kind of how a freemarket works. If you build a ton of houses, then you may have to sell them for cheaper. Plenty of people would like a place to live!

I got laid off four months ago but my home is paid for. Unemployment is OK but Il’l be 65 on New Years day and I’m filing for Social Security. Fukit, there are no jobs. Besides, if I busted my balls to find a job, I’d probably wind up working for some asshole anyway. Iv’e got a shitload of tools so I can go around doing plumbing, electrical and carpentry jobs when I feel like it.

Let’s not forget that there’s nothing “Federal” about the Federal Reserve. Imagine how much money the people behind the Fed. will make under Mr. Paulson’s plan! How convenient for them. These people don’t care one bit about the average person in this country. We’re all expendable to them. Let’s keep praying that the hope and excitement that’s been ushered in with Obama helps start the shift away from greed and the me vs. you mentality that the powerful function from. Peace.
