The majority of congress voted for war on Iraq because they felt he may be too dangerous to Israel! Some didn’t believe he was since Israel already has nuclear weapons, but would not risk angering the supporters of Israel. It’s all over again with Iran and only God knows who is next.

McCain was an idiot to say Obama was wrong on Iraq. Everything Obama said about the war: not giving the president the sole power for a preemptive invasion, and the post planing was proven correct where McCain was way off the mark saying we’d be greeted as liberators. And I’m glad he beat out Hillary because she fell for Bush’s war herself.

American power. A democracy in Iraq will naturally seek American support and assistance. An autocratic government in Iraq would be more likely to seek the support of an autocratic China or Russia cutting the US out of the show.

I keep finding instances where people are talking about bringing Democracy to Iraq and how it’s so important… I’m beside myself with confusion because I didn’t realize that so many Americans have relatives and such a fervent passion about a desert country in the Middle East. It makes no sense… unless, it’s just a topic that is infused with their chosen ideology and thus they will support it. Honestly, what is the root purpose for Democracy in Iraq?
